Here we snow again
Well here we snow again. We just never know what we're going to get next with the weather, but we can always be prepared with a project at hand so when the weather puts us back indoors we have something to work on. It sure makes us more productive and makes the days go by more easily.
Next Thursday Mar 3 rd. is the start of our Seven Sisters Spring Shop Hop.
Our hop this year is all about bags. Each shop will have a bag pattern for you and will also have their bag on display. Pick up you passport at the first shop and travel your way around collecting patterns, seeing new items, and having a great time with freinds. One winner will recive seven certificates for $50 at each shop. And seven others will win our bags filled with goodies valued at over $75 each not including the bag.
Shop Hop Hours Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursdays 10a.m.-7p.m.
Saturdays 10a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Sundays

Those of you who really know me, know that I have a great love for cooking and family. I found this recipe some time ago and finally tried it, its delicious and the perfect meal for a cold night to share with the ones you love. Freezes and cans well too if you have left overs.
Red White and Blue Chili
2 tablespoons olive oil 2 15 1/2 oz cans great northern beans
1 med green pepper diced rinsed
1/4 cup diced onion 1 16 oz red kidney beans rinsed
2 cloves garlic minced 1 envelope chili seasoning
2 cans 14 1/2 oz. chicken broth 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
2 cups shredded cooked chicken 1 teaspoon salt
2 cans 14 1/2 oz Mexican dice tomato 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Blue Tortilla Chips
In soup kettle saute, green pepper, onion and garlic in oil until tender. Stir in the tomatoes, broth, chicken, beans, chili seasoning, brown sugar, salt, pepper. Bring to boil, Reduce heat , cover and simmer 45 minutes. I like to serve with cheddar cheese.
I usually double this recipe and use my own canned chicken 1 quart and then use one quart of home canned chicken broth.
Enjoy
