Flannel Sale
Hello Fellow Stitchers
Looks like we are headed back to a little bit more of winter. Not anything serious, just enough for the kids and some adults alike to put the shorts and flip flops back away for a while. It won't be long and we will be outside again enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Until then I have an idea.... today thru Saturday all our printed flannel is on sale at 30% off. We need the room for the new arrivals and you might just need a fresh new project of soft warm and cozy Moda flannels. Pair it up with Lynne Hagmeiers book Huggable quilts and you have a project you can finish this weekend and maybe cuddled up reading a book ( a quilt book of course) by Sunday afternoon.
We just finished out last class for our New Aged Muslin Quilt if you haven't gotten your block we have it here waiting for you. Also if you need a finishing kit please let me know as soon as possible. We want to make sure you get your kit if you are wanting one but all fabric has been put out in the shop for everyone to enjoy now.
Our next Handworking Class will meet on Wednesday Feb. 8th at 1 p.m. And again at 5:30. This months demo will be on punchneedle. If you have not signed up for this year long adventure in handstitching you still have time. The cost is $20 for the year and you will have the opportunity to learn, appliqué, embroidery, punchneedle and more. You may also pay a class fee and come just to the sessions you would like to learn. Our first class we taught two embroidery stitches and wool appliqué and then they were able to purchase the months project with a 10% discount. A couple ladies shared other techniques to do the stitches. We also have show and tell to spur on more creativity.
The weather looks good for our 2nd Stitch In. We have the Roann community building rented for Friday Feb 3rd and Saturday the 4th. The cost for the weekend is $50. This is a weekend of Food, fun and fellowship. No phone, laundry or dishes just stitching. I have room for 20 and have plenty of space left. The weather looks good and we will keep the lights on both days till everyone is done stitching. Lunch and dinner are included on Friday, A light breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday. If we stay past dinner on Saturday there are two restaurants next door to get a bite to eat. The kitchen will have a hot pot of coffee and snacks. We will have a large cutting table and iron stations provided. You just need to bring your project, notions and machine. To reserve your spot please call as soon as possible.
